I'm constantly searching for the perfect bag.
I want it to be comfortable, I want it to hold EVERYTHING, and I want it to be sleek. I want it to look good with what I'm wearing. I want it to be a daily use bag that can get beat up, and I want it to look nice when I show up to client meetings with it. I want it to keep my things safe if I get caught in the rain. I want it to have enough pockets that I can keep small things organized, but not so many that I lose them. I want it to hold a change of clothes and I want it to keep my laptop separate from my lunch. I want it to fit under the airplane seat in front of me, or in my lap on a crowded bus. And I want it to be protected if -heaven forbid- I have to set it on the ground.
So I made that bag.
Leather straps keep it looking classy, and they'll break in to fit your body perfectly.
12 oz waxed canvas is heavy enough to protect what's inside, but won't weigh you down. It can also be re-waxed as needed, for extra weatherproofing.
It measures 5" x 12" at the base, with a roll top so you can make it smaller when you are traveling light, or barely fold the top over when it's packed to the brim. Two metal side-release buckles make opening the main compartment easy, while keeping it securely closed during transit.
It has a laptop or notebook sleeve in the main compartment.
A smaller front pocket closes with velcro for quick access (I keep sunglasses and wet wipes in mine) and has two small compartments inside for pens, earbuds, etc. There's a zipper pocket on top of that, for your wallet, chewing gum, and other quick-access items.
I used hand-pounded copper rivets on this bag, which is very time consuming but worth it. They are incredibly sturdy and so gorgeous.
Last but not least, there is a leather panel stitched to the bottom, in the event that it must be placed on the ground.
***Pre-order for this bag will be open May 6th - May 20th, I will begin shipping finished product May 27th through June 10th.***
